Nash spoke on her new venture in a release: “Esports has really impressed me as an industry and I’m excited to be jumping into the fray with an outstanding and ambitious organization like Misfits. The possibilities in the esports partnerships space are growing every day — it’s an electric time to get involved and build new collaborations that inspire fans and brands alike.”

Nash’s entry into Misfits Gaming ends her two-and-a-half year tenure as the Vice President of Global Solutions for the FOX Networks Group, as well as a decade-long career overall with the company. In her previous role, Nash functioned as an internal consultant, reshaping performance structures for clients and, as a result, driving “millions of dollars of incremental revenue” through sports programming and entertainment means.

Ben Spoont, CEO and Co-founder of Misfits Gaming shared his excitement with the organisation’s latest hire: “Lagen has the passion and drive of a Misfits pro and the accomplishments in sports media partnerships to back it up. Her proven talent in driving the A to Z of sports sponsorships and media rights deals from her time at FOX Networks Group made her an ideal person to lead a crucial aspect of our business, and we’re thrilled to have her in the Misfits family.”

Esports Insider says: From the sounds of it, Misfits Gaming has struck gold with Nash. Over the years, it’s become more common to see executives and other high-level hires transfer over to esports from the traditional sports realm. We commend Misfits on a job well done here!
