Epic Games launches Fortnite and Nike Air Jordans crossover

Fortnite has partnered up with Nike Air Jordans for an in-game collaboration. The partnership includes branded outfits and the Downtown Drop limited time mode.

Nike Air Jordans are now available in Fortnite

The exclusive Nike Air Jordan outfits are available in the Hang Time Bundle which can be purchased via the in-game shop for 1,800 V-Bucks. The bundle includes two outfits, called Grind and Clutch, and include the iconic Nike Air Jordan 1s trainers. Additionally, the skins also come with a challenge pack which can be used to unlock different colour options.

The Downtown Drop LTM takes place on a parkour styled course where players go head-to-head by dodging obstacles and collecting gold coins. Players are required to find two hidden shortcuts, dance or emote at the basketball court and jump through all six flaming hoops to complete set challenges.

There are Nike Air Jordans cosmetics also available to buy

Completing the challenges will allow players to unlock the Back Board Back Bling and its additional nine styles, as well as four unique Sprays. Those with the Hang Time Bundle will get access to even more reward styles.

This is the third in-game cross over that Fortnite has released so far this year. Early this month an LTM named “Wick’s Bounty” was released in partnership with the movie John Wick: Chapter 3. Players were able to buy an exclusive John Wick skin and unlock additional cosmetics via challenges. The collaboration was first teased when John Wick’s house magically appeared on the map in Paradise Palms.

Additionally, In April, Fortnite partnered up with Marvel for the release of Avengers: Endgame. An LTM was created which allowed players to play as their favourite superheroes while trying to take down Thanos. Avengers items including Hawkeye’s bow, Thor’s Stormbreaker, Iron Man’s arm cannons and Captain America’s shield all appeared in the game.

Esports Insider says: This is such a cool collaboration! Cosmetics have become a huge part of in-game identity, and its clear Epic Games have taken note. With three in-game crossovers in less than two months, we have no doubt there will be lots more unique collaborations to come.
