In a move that surprised literally no one, CD Projekt Red has announced that GWENT, The Witcher 3’s standalone card battle, is coming to Android this year.

That’s the good news. The bad news is that it will launch on iOS first, with an Android version following “later”. Man, we hate that vague launch window.

The mobile version will be exactly the same game, including multiplayer, when it arrives on mobile. However, judging from the official press release, it seems like the visuals may have to be pared back to support mobile. Read this quote:

Beautiful visuals aside, we’ve tailored much of our technology, including GOG Galaxy which powers GWENT’s multiplayer, to support mobile devices.
